West Ham's Senegalese striker Diafra Sakho has been arrested on suspicion of making death threats and intimidating his former girlfriend, the London police said.
The 25-year-old Sakho, who was previously questioned in the British capital earlier in August for a similar case, was released on bail on Tuesday, reports Efe.
"On Sunday, Aug 23, officers from Havering arrested a man on suspicion of threats to kill and witness intimidation," a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
The Senegalese international arrived at West Ham last season from Metz and scored 10 goals over 26 games in his first year in the English Premier League.
"Diafra Sakho has not been charged with any offence. He vigorously denies the allegations that have been made against him, and has given police a complete explanation of events. He will not be making any further comment," a spokesman for the player told The Sun newspaper.
