She's fearless in her film choices, but there's something about filmdom that scares actress Radhika Apte.

"I am most scared of learning the tricks that work for the director and the audience, because then you start doing that and the repetition becomes practice," Radhika said during CNN-News18 Bollywood Roundtable, to be aired on Saturday.

The actress has been appreciated for her bold roles and critically acclaimed performances.

When Vidya Balan didn't wash her hair for a week

Actress Vidya Balan says she is obsessed about cleanliness, but went without washing her hair for a week for her role in "Kahaani 2".

"For 'Kahaani 2', there were actually days when I didn't wash my hair for seven days and that's a big deal for me because I am obsessive about cleanliness," she said during CNN-News18 Bollywood Roundtable with Rajeev Masand.

She also spoke about child sex abuse, a subject dwelled upon in "Kahaani 2".

"Child sex abuse is something I feel very strongly about, but I never thought I would have the courage to tell a story about it on screen," said the National Award winner.

How 'Udta Punjab' changed Alia's perspective

Versatile actress Alia Bhatt says playing a victim of drug abuse in "Udta Punjab" earlier this year, helped in changing her outlook.

"With 'Udta Punjab', I was meant to feel like an animal when I was held captive in a small room. And to know that there are a majority of people who are feeling that way, it does change your perspective, but it also makes you feel bad because there is nothing you can do about it," she said on CNN-News18 Bollywood Roundtable.

The round-table also included actresses Vidya Balan, Sonam Kapoor, Radhika Apte and Anushka Sharma.
