Reality television star Chantelle Houghton was concerned about her one-year-old daughter waking up earlier than usual as it disrupted her own sleeping pattern. She consulted an expert and resolved the issue.

Houghton, who is used to waking up at 7 a.m., started losing two hours of sleep because of daughter Dolly, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"Dolly has been waking up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at 5 a.m. because of the sunlight coming through her window. I thought, 'This can't carry on!' I'm used to getting up at 7 a.m., but I can't lose another two hours of sleep," Houghton wrote in a column for new! magazine.

"I asked the baby sleep expert Jo Tantum for advice and she said to go into her room, put her back down and pat her to sleep. Thankfully, it worked," she wrote.

Dolly is Houghton's daughter with ex-fiance Alex Reid. They parted ways in 2012 after being together for over a year.
