Singer Kelly Clarkson says when it came to naming her daughter, it didn't take much mental heavy-lifting to come up with the unique moniker River Rose.
"We were going back and forth on what to name her. And I like androgynous names," people.com quoted the 32-year-old as saying.
During one day of her pregnancy, she and husband Brandon Blackstock were relaxing at their Nashville-area home when the inspiration struck.
"We live on a river, so it really wasn't that creative," said Clarkson.
"We were outside on our balcony, and we both looked at each other and were like, 'What about River? That's kind of cool.'"
And Rose?
"It's my mother's maiden name. And I love alliteration."
