Wikileaks founder Julian Assange on Tuesday via a videolink in Berlin announced that his organisation will release fresh documents on the upcoming US presidential election before November 8.
"We hope to be publishing every week for the next ten weeks, we have on schedule...all the US election related documents to come out before November 8," said Assange.
He made the announcement during the celebration marking the tenth anniversary of the whistle-blowing website.
Assange also promised to publish about a million documents related to at least three governments before the end of 2016, adding that the organisation is evolving and planning to expand its collaboration with media outlets beyond the 100 it is already working with.
Although he did not offer great detail when taking questions from the audience in Berlin, Assange said the US presidential election information would be "significant". He, however, denied rumours that he sought to damage the US Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's reputation.
The video claimed that the Wikileaks has published more than 10 million documents in 10 years, exposing details on Guantanamo Bay, alleged war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as the US Democratic Party e-mail scandal, among others.
Assange also promised to release documents on war, oil, Google, and mass surveillance.
He called on his followers to join the newly-founded WikiLeaks Task Force in order to "help defend WikiLeaks against attacks".
Assange continues to remains in asylum at the Ecuadorian embassy in London to avoid extradition to Sweden, where authorities want to question him over rape allegations.
He fears this would lead to a further extradition to the US, where he could face a military court for publishing state secrets through Wikileaks.
