Having slumped to a heavy defeat against the Australians in a World Cup Pool A game at the WACA on Wednesday, Afghanistan skipper Mohammad Nabi said they would take all these experiences to their next game against New Zealand.

"We played well in the last three games. We won against Scotland. We'll take the experience going into the next game," said Nabi after his side lost by 275 runs to the co-hosts.

The Afghans next play New Zealand on March 8 at Napier.

Put into bat, Australia posted a humongous total of 417 for six on the score board and then skittled out Afghanistan for a paltry 142 in 37.3 overs.

Nabi admitted being outplayed by the opposition.

"They batted very well, especially (David) Warner and (Steve) Smith. They bowled well too. Australia have the fastest bowlers and especially on this WACA pitch they were difficult to play. First 6-7 overs we bowled good line and length, but Australia batted well after that," added Nabi.
