Belo Horizonte (Brazil), June 29 (IANS/EFE) Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar expressed happiness over his side's qualification into the quarterfinals of the World Cup by defeating Chile in a penalty shootout in the Round of 16.
Cesar said the win compensated the elimination from the 2010 edition in South Africa. The goalkeeper's mistakes were one of the reasons Brazil were ousted from the quarterfinal's four years ago against the Netherlands, reports EFE.
But he was one of the main reasons for his team's win Saturday.
"Four years ago, I received anger and sadness from the media but today I speak with joy," Cesar said.
The Brazilian media deemed Cesar responsible for their 1-2 loss in 2010.
