Wolfsburg saw off Eindhoven with two second-half goals to grab the lead in Group B after the match in UEFA Champions League group stage.
Bas Dost's and Max Kruse's second-half strikes secured the "Wolves" the top spot in Group B during the match on Wednesday, Xinhua reported.
The "PSV" had the chance to score their consolation but Wolfsburg goalkeeper Diego Benaglio denied Juergen Locadia's last-minute foul play penalty.
The home side took the reins immediately after kick-off as a result Bas Dost, Daniel Caligiuri and Julian Draxler threatened Eindhoven's defence with their efforts in the opening period.
However, Wolfsburg failed to make the best of the plenty opportunities in the first half.
Thus, the "PSV" nearly caught the Bundesliga side flat-footed as Andres Guardado and Adam Maher came close to break the deadlock against the run of the game before the break.
The "Wolves" finally overcame Eindhoven's defence when Joshua Guilavogui's blocked shot landed in the path of Dutchman Bas Dost, who poked home the rebound from very close range moments into the second half.
With the second win from the third game, Wolfsburg clinched the first spot in Group B with six points, followed by Manchester United (4 points), CSKA Moskva (4 points) and PSV (3 points).
