Woman attempts suicide by jumping before Metro train
A 30-year-old woman attempted to commit suicide by jumping before a moving metro train here Monday evening, police said.
The unidentified woman jumped in front of the train at 7.29 p.m. at Janakpuri West Metro station.
A Delhi Metro official said the driver slammed the brakes and the woman was taken to a hospital where her condition is stated to be critical.
"No suicide note was recovered from her. We are yet to ascertain the reason behind her extreme step," police said.
