A woman was allegedly kidnapped by 3-4 unidentified men in a car from outside a college here in full public view on Monday, police said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Kulvinder Singh told IANS that the "victim" and the "accused" were yet to identified, and police were investigating the matter.
According to video footage from a CCTV camera installed outside a nearby hotel, the alleged kidnappers dragged the woman into a car outside D.S.D. College on New Railway Road and sped away.
A few people ran after the car to help the woman but could not succeed.
A woman resident of Sector 17, who was on the spot, informed the police control room about the incident.
Police reached the college, but the authorities there told investigators that the woman did not belong to the institution.
