Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda on Friday urged the member countries of Partners in Population and Development (PPD) to work together to share sustainable, effective and equitable solutions to the common problems.

Speaking at the 20th Annual Board Meeting of PPD, Nadda said though it was heartening to enumerate gains made by the partnership of countries in PPD, a lot of hard work and many challenges lie ahead.

The 26-member PPD is an intergovernmental initiative created specifically for expanding and improving South-to-South collaboration in the fields of reproductive health, population, and development.

The 10 founding member countries of PPD are Bangladesh, Colombia, Egypt, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, Morocco, Thailand, Tunisia, and Zimbabwe.
