Reforming the UN Security Council, climate change and security featured in German Chancellor Angela Merkel's address at the Indo-German summit held here on Tuesday.
"We (India and Germany) also share and have a great international responsibility. We are working for the Security Council reform after 70 years of the foundation of the United Nations," Merkel said at the event organised by NASSCOM and Fraunhofer.
"(Narendra) Modi and I discussed (Security Council reform) a week ago at the G4 summit and in November we meet again in Turkey," Merkel added.
She said Germany was ready and willing to show more responsibility for reforming the Security Council.
Climate change was another area she spoke about.
"We have shared responsibility for global climate, we have to reduce climate change below 2 degrees Celsius," Merkel said.
"Industrialised countries must take the responsibility of helping poorer countries in the climate change action plan."
The chancellor also emphasised the importance of climate change summit Conference of Parties (COP) 21 scheduled in Paris on December 7-9.
Merkel also expressed concern on the fragile security scenario in the Korean Peninsula and on safety on the seas.
