Filmmaker G.K. Yogesh, who is jointly directing "Yeh Hai India" with Lom Harsh, says the film is beyond the topics like population, pollution and poverty.
"Most are stuck with stereotype issues such as population, pollution and poverty, but we want to go beyond all this. We want to establish a real connection with roots and values," Yogesh told IANS.
The forthcoming movie deals with young kid born and raised in Britain who later visits India, only to find connection beyond obvious.
Lom Harsh, who is producing the film along with Sandeep Choudhary under the banner of DLB Films Pvt. Ltd., says: "There is more to India than just what eye catches."
"I needed some more in-depth, soulfulness in movie. It's a brilliant concept. It's not run of mill 'find fault with India' kind of movie. It's a journey of soul, finding, redefining, reconnecting with roots, culture and values," he said.
About the star cast of the film, he said: "As stated earlier, cast of the film shall be some known faces from the industry, but it's too early to reveal."
The film will be widely shot in Rajasthan, Bihar, Mumbai and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. First schedule are likely to be shot in Rajasthan.
