YRF announces 'Ek Tha Tiger' sequel

Superstar Salman Khan and actress Katrina Kaif will again be seen together sharing screen space in the sequel of their 2012 film "Ek Tha Tiger".

A statement from Yash Raj Films (YRF) on Tuesday said that the film is titled "Tiger Zinda Hai", and will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.

The makers of "Tiger Zinda Hai" have locked Christmas 2017 for the release of the film.

Zafar, who teamed up with Salman for the 2016 blockbuster film "Sultan" took to Twitter and wrote: "'Tiger Zinda Hai' Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif. Nervousness and excitement."

The director also shared the film's poster, which read: A"An Indian Agent. A Pakistani Spy. Against A Common Enemy."

This will be the fifth time the "Dabangg" star will be seen sharing screen space with the "Baar Baar Dekho" actress. The two have featured together in films like "Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya?", "Partner", "Yuvraaj" and "Ek Tha Tiger".

The 50-year-old actor even did a cameo in "Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani", which starred Katrina and actor Ranbir Kapoor.

Directed by Kabir Khan, "Ek Tha Tiger" revolves around an Indian spy code-named Tiger, who falls in love with a Pakistani spy during an investigation.
