German tennis player Alexander Zverev entered the third round of the Barcelona Open after defeating Spain's Nicolas Almagro here on Tuesday.
World No.21 Zverev took two hours and 26 minutes to defeat world No. 57 Almagro 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 6-4, reports Efe.
Germany's promising talent Zverev will play the third round against the winner of the match between South Korea's Chung Hyeon and German Philipp Kohlschreiber.
Zverev, seeded eighth in the tournament, was eliminated a few days ago from the Monte-Carlo Masters against world number five Spaniard Rafael Nadal, who ended up winning the tournament.
