Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Sukhbir Singh Badal sure know how to throw a party. Their annual winter lunch for reporters last week, had a fabulous, entirely vegetarian spread of dishes, from the Punjab heartland - Kadhi Pakoda (pakodas seem to be a fixation with the NDA), chhole kulche, chaat and jalebis. Like before, the water that was used to prepare the food was sent from Patiala by tankers (‘otherwise, taste nahi aata ji’ said the caterer, smiling). The lunch had many senior ministers in the NDA attending.
