A receptionist at the Bank of England’s Threadneedle Street headquarters in London had a pleasant surprise for RBI Deputy Governor Rakesh Mohan. When he arrived for a press conference to present a report prepared by the Committee on the Global Financial System (CGFS), under the aegis of the Bank for International Settlements, he was given a visitor’s pass numbered 007. Mohan accepted the card and turned around to show it off to his colleagues from the RBI and Bank of England. But there were no martinis on offer, nor any Bond girl in sight.
