 True, the actual disinvestment proceeds have fallen way below the budgeted figure for both the years. The targeted receipt from disinvestment in 2000-01 was Rs 10,000 crore, showing a shortfall of about 75 per cent. The target for 2001-02 was even bigger at Rs 12,000 crore. And the shortfall last year was only marginally less at 70 per cent.
