Even in non-recessionary times, this seems quite a job. Reuters reports a story of the Wookey Hole caves in Somerset advertising for a witch and around 100 applications have already been received for the job which pays $80,000 a year and doesn’t require you to wear a suit — okay, a costume, but that’s not a suit. The successful candidate, the wire quotes officials as saying, will live in a spacious cave, has to cackle and perform a range of tasks that include basic magic — and, oh yes, s/he can’t be allergic to cats.
