Rajya Sabha MP and daughter of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi Kanimozhi successfully escaped the shutterbugs as she left Tihar Jail on bail last week — with a little help from the jail officials. She was whisked away from an exit reserved for VVIPs, out of view of the photographers who were patrolling Tihar’s front and back gates. Long after she reached home, a Tihar official texted a photographer, “She’s gone”. It was only those photographers patrolling her residence who managed to catch the photo-opportunity of her homecoming.
