Alarmed at the unchecked flow of people in the environment ministry, minister Prakash Javadekar has restricted entry of people in around his own chambers to begin with. The move comes days after Javadekar was left with just the green ministry as his base.

He had expressed concerns about the free movement of people in the ministry even before. But with the information & broadcasting ministry out of his purview, he now sits full time at the swanky new Paryavaran Bhawan.

Officials say, he was miffed at the uncontrolled traffic of people, particularly around his chamber on the 4th floor. Now a security guard has been posted to check I-cards for everyone, including officials.
