Sitaram Yechury had a difficult time in the hotel he stayed at while attending the extended Central Committee meeting of the CPI(M) in Vijayawada. After intense brainstorming sessions during the day, Yechury would return to his room, hoping for a peaceful night’s sleep. But, as he was initially allotted a room that was located just opposite a banquet hall, he found himself being an audience to loud music. On the second day, he was shifted to another room on the second floor. But this one was no joy either as it was right next to a pub that remained opened till late hours. Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had no such problems as he managed to get the best room. He was put in a corner room on the fifth floor, away from all the chaos.
