So we will miss the enthralling presence of Amar Singh in the Rajya Sabha. He is not among the MPs nominated by the Samajwadi Party (SP) for another term. Instead, the party has selected the much more biddable Neeraj Shekhar, son of former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar who lost the Lok Sabha election. Of course, family member Ramgopal Yadav is very much on the list. Because Singh might have got a re-nomination, SP's Muslim party boss Azam Khan ruled his wife's name out of the list. Now neither figures on it.
