It seems cricketer-turned-TV personality Navjot Singh Sidhu pictured) has driven a wedge of sorts between Punjab Congress President Amardinder Singh and former state unit chief Partap Singh Bajwa. While Singh has said that Sidhu could join the party but without any condition, Bajwa has been openly advocating his entry into the party fold. Sources said Singh, who had made the party position clear, was miffed with Bajwa backing Sidhu unconditionally. With the Congress hoping to come to power after the Punjab Assembly polls next year, any difference of opinion between the two Sikh leaders could spell trouble for the party in the state.
