Bihar Health Minister Tej Pratap, son of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad, has come a long way since his oath-taking ceremony last year when he said "upekshit" (neglected) instead of "apekshit" (expected), earning ridicule from Opposition leaders and critics.

Now, as the young leader gains in confidence, he is showered with praise by both the Treasury and the Opposition benches in the state Assembly, while answering questions about his department. Opposition leaders are often seen cheering him on with cries of "wah, wah" (well done), not without a bit of humour, but all in good spirit.
