Journalists accessing information on an extremely well-known and highly respected former bureaucrat with current links in government were shocked to read under the heading “Personal life”, that he had been “in a live-in relationship” with a former National Security Advisor and that the couple had adopted a son. The information was attributed to a non-working finance ministry web link and was online till the evening of October 5. It was later updated with the correct information that the bureaucrat concerned was married and has a daughter, this time with a working reference link.
