The Radia tapes have certainly had their impact in the corridors of power. Bureaucrats, who are the source of many policy reports, are now asking reporters for information about the tapes. Some want to understand how one lady could become so powerful and manage the media, politicians and industrialists the way she did, and others want help navigating the website on which they can listen to the tapes. “These tapes are interesting. I can listen to them in my free time,” said an official when told about the new series of transcripts released this week.
