Shutting shop

It certainly helps to own a luxury mall, especially if you need a venue to organise a gala event. Last week, DLF Chairman K P Singh shut his south-Delhi mall Emporio to the public for the launch of his autobiography Whatever The Odds. Several people were denied entry into the mall that evening, but perhaps it didn’t matter much to Singh since many of the frequent shoppers, including models, designers, celebrities and socialites were already present at this high-end mall — they were all invited to the book launch!
