Too cold for comfort

Though senior BJP leaders stayed in the specially erected tents at the Indore conclave, most didn’t sleep well due to a sudden drop in temperature. A number of them asked for extra blankets and quilts in the dead of night to stay warm.

Indeed, it turned so cold that the bottles of filtered water that some of them had kept in their tents to brush their teeth, froze. But nobody seemed to mind the tented experience and even former Bollywood actor Hema Malini and TV star Smriti Irani, happily stayed in tents — a few like Shatrughan Sinha, however, transferred to hotels.
