When Anand Sharma visits his office after landing in Delhi from Bali, it would not be the same any more. Interior decorators, electricians and carpenters are working overtime, so that Sharma walks in to a swanky new office on the ground floor of Udyog Bhawan. “For the past couple of days, work has been going on late into the night. The office should be ready before Sharma comes back,” said an office attendant. Once Sharma’s office is done, work will begin on the first floor room of the erstwhile minister of state for commerce, Jairam Ramesh. This is where Jyotiraditya Scindia, the new minister of state for commerce, will function from. At the moment, he is using a ground floor room in Udyog Bhawan.
