The threat of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will loom large as leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) sit to discuss the strategy ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Starting Friday, the BJP will begin a three-day brainstorming session to be attended by all seniors from across the country. On Friday, the party will hold its national executive meet, while over the weekend a national council meet will be held at the Ramlila Maidan. The national executive meet is a more closed-door affair.

"The rise of the AAP is a worry," a spokesperson said, requesting anonymity. He said the leadership will devise a strategy to check the rise.
