Army jawan kills himself in Kashmir

He was posted on guard duty outside the company headquarters of the army unit at Khrew in Pulwama

An army jawan today allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Pulwama district of south Kashmir, police said.

Sepoy Bunty of 50 Rashtriya Rifles unit, who was posted on guard duty outside the company headquarters of the army unit at Khrew in Pulwama, shot himself with his service rifle. He died on spot, the police said.

The motive behind his taking such an extreme step was not immediately known.
