CVoter India released round two of its opinion poll for the coming Bihar polls on Thursday. It forecasted a neck-to-neck contest in the state, with an edge to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led alliance. In round one of its opinion poll a fortnight ago, the agency had forecasted an edge to the 'grand alliance' comprising Rashtriya Janata Dal, Janata Dal (United), and Congress. The latest findings reveal Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar's (of JD(U)) popularity ratings at 46.8 per cent, followed by 16 per cent for Sushil Modi of the BJP. The first phase of the five-phase voting is on October 12. The counting of votes is set for November 8.
