In a meeting of its Cabinet, the AAP government also took a decision to revise minimum wages in the capital and to "blacklist" contractors who don't follow the norm in this respect.

In its manifesto, the AAP had promised to install CCTV cameras in DTC buses, bus stands, crowded places to intimidate attackers and deter crime against women.
It had also hiked the minimum wages of workers in the unorganised sector in April this year.
Minimum wage of unskilled workers were raised from Rs 8,632 to Rs 9,048. Similarly wages of semi-skilled, skilled and graduate workers were increased from Rs 9,542, Rs 10,478 and Rs 11,414 to Rs 10,010, Rs 10,998 and Rs 11,986, respectively.
