Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh said here today that the Government of India must take a quick decision on import of sugar.

Import of raw sugar should be stopped and export of sugar should be opened up and incentivised, he tweeted on Twitter today.

At prevailing prices, the sugar industry is unsustainable, he said, adding that the government of India must act "quickly and decisively".
