"Modi is a man who is always seen in the company of the rich and the influential and 90 per cent of the poor in the country are afraid what will happen to them if this man succeeds (in becoming the prime minister)," Bihar Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh told PTI.
"Minority Muslims, law-abiding citizens and the poor are frightened of him," the senior JD(U) leader added.
Singh also hit out at BJP leaders for pointing fingers at Nitish Kumar for allegedly neglecting the security at the party's October 27 rally in Patna which was rocked by serial blasts.
Erstwhile NDA allies - BJP and JD(U) - parted ways after the naming of Modi as BJP's prime ministerial candidate in June this year.
