Indian Army firing has reportedly claimed the life of a Punjab Rangers official at the Line of Control (LoC).
The official has been identified as Asrar, the Express Tribune reports.
The firing took place in Sialkot's Chaprar Sector, but stopped after retaliatory firing by the Pakistan Army, the report added.
The incident comes few days after India had asked Pakistan to maintain the sanctity of the LoC for improvement in bilateral ties.
There have been several occurrences of ceasefire violations since the August 6 incident, when five Indian soldiers were killed on the Poonch border.
