Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi has received support from the unusual quarters - the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Shiv Sena-for his statement that Pakistani agencies are trying to lure Muzaffarnagar riot victims in Uttar Pradesh.

RSS preferred to air different view distancing from the uttances made by the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi against Rahul. Instead, RSS joint secretary Dattatreya Hosbale said, "Rahul may have achieved that wisdom, but he must follow up his words with firm action against such terror elements."

On the other hand, Shiv Sena has also come out in open to support Rahul on his remarks saying that for a change the Congress vice-president has told the truth. Shiv Sena, which is BJP's electoral ally for over two decades, in its mouthpiece Saamna claimed that Pakistan intelligence agency ISI was attracting the muslim youths from the riot hit Muzaffarnagar.

Further, the Saamna editorial said that it has been the practice of ISI to engineer communal riots with the help of riot hit muslim youths across India.
