Apparently ruling out change in leadership following its disastrous performance in the Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal, the CPI(M) today said that those who criticised it outside the party platform, should remain out.

"You can discuss party matters within the party, but those who want to discuss and criticise it outside the party platform should stay outside the party," CPI(M) state secretary Biman Bose told a press conference here.

Commenting on the recent expulsion of Subhanil Chowdhury who was in charge of party's social networking platform after he openly criticised the party, Bose said, "In our party there are platforms to discuss leadership issues.

"And the leadership is always there to answer those issues. But to discuss such things outside the party platform is not right."

Following allegations of attacks on Left workers, he said it was decided that the leadership would rush to stand by them and give moral support in such cases.

Bose also said that the Left leadership would submit a memorandum to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on the attacks on CPI(M) workers in the state.
