Accusing the Congress of carrying out selective leaks against it on the Telengana issue, YSR Congress today said former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy never supported the creation of a separation state.

"He never supported carving out Telangana. He worked for the constitution of the second States Reorganisation Commission," YSR Congress leader M V Mysoora Reddy told reporters here.

Releasing documents to substantiate his point, he said, "60 per cent of people in Andhra Pradesh are against bifurcation".

A YSR Congress delegation met CPI-M, CPI, DMK and BJP leaders to impress upon them against the division of Andhra Pradesh.

"Though the respective parties have different points of view, they raised apprehension over the way the Centre was handling the issue," he claimed.

He also alleged that the GoM on Telangana was not "neutral."

"We have our doubts over the transparency as the GoM is toeing the party line," he charged.

Asked about N Chandra Babu Naidu's fast, which entered the fourth day today, Reddy said the TDP leader was in a state of confusion.

"TDP is in hand-in-gloves with Congress, but we do not have any connection with the Congress party," he said.
