Escalating the already simmering tensions over the murder of NDMC officer M M Khan, BJP leader Vijender Gupta on Friday launched an all-out attack against the AAP and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, saying that the party is only good at holding press conferences and that they must start 'comedy shows' to entertain people.

"Since the time their name popped up in the water tanker scam's FIR, they are baffled and behaving wildly. They are trying to divert people's attention in between a murder and a letter. They only hold press conference, they can only mislead and confuse people and their credibility is zero. People laugh at them and people listen to them as a mere entertainment, they must start comedy shows and come every day on TV with something new and entertain people," Gupta told ANI here.

"After Delhi Police gave clean chit to Maheish Girri, the case is solved. If you have any doubts, then you should go to court, or file a report in the police station rather than coming on television debates," he added.

As the controversy rages over the murder of NDMC legal adviser M M Khan, the Delhi police had yesterday claimed it is conducting an impartial probe into the matter and gave clean chit to BJP MP Maheish Girri and NDMC Vice-Chairman Kanwar Singh Tanwar.

AAP had earlier alleged that lieutenant-governor Najeeb Jung's role in the Khan case was 'suspicious' and demanded he be arrested.

"His (Jung's) role is suspicious in the case. Why had he written to the NDMC, seeking action against Khan? We demand that the L-G be arrested and sacked from his position," AAP Delhi unit convener Dileep Pandey said at a press conference.

MoS for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju said the Delhi police is investigating the Khan murder and is making "good progress."

"The Delhi police should be allowed to do an impartial probe. Let them complete the investigation. No political colour should be given to the case. People holding constitutional posts should not lower its dignity by making indecent comments," he said.

Rijiju's comments come after Kejriwal accused BJP MP Maheish Girri of being allegedly involved in the Khan murder.
