CIDC-CQRA to certify construction quality of Lokhandwala Constructions

Lokhandwala Construction has become the First Property Developer in Mumbai to go for the Certification of Construction Quality for their project ‘Octacrest’ in Mumbai.

Lokhandwala signed a contract with CIDC-CQRA on 3rd April’ 2010 to get the Construction Quality Certificate for their project “Octacrest” at Kandivali East in Mumbai.

Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) is a representative organization of the Indian construction industry jointly set up by the Planning Commission (Government of India) and the Indian construction industry. Durocrete Construction Quality Rating Agency (CQRA) is a leading consultancy firm providing services to Developers, Builders and Contractors for improving their quality of work and carry out Third Party Inspection of Construction Quality.

CIDC- CQRA quality certification is based on the unique Quality Indexing System and software developed by CQRA, which can benchmark construction quality on a scale of (scorecards) 0 - 10. Data related to the quality of work is periodically captured from construction sites in objective formats which is analyzed through software and comprehensive stage-wise reports are generated.

‘Octacrest’ is a part of 250 acres of township development by Lokhandwala Construction at Kandivali (East) in western suburbs of Mumbai. It has 8 buildings of 18 stories each and will have 536 apartments (2 & 3 BHK). The scheduled completion of the project is by 2012.
