Launches Cargo Service from Lucknow; Opens new office in Lucknow

Looking to expand its footprint in Northern India, Emirates SkyCargo today announced the launch of their cargo operations from Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh. Opening its new office in Lucknow and providing a direct access for cargo services from Lucknow, Emirates SkyCargo has endeavored to link the City of Nawabs with Dubai and the rest of the world through its vast network spread across the globe.

Emirates will offer interline cargo capacity on a thrice weekly service and will provide three tonnes per flight of direct cargo capacity on the Lucknow–Dubai–Lucknow route. This addition of capacity will complement the already existent 506 tonnes of weekly capacity on the Delhi–Dubai– Delhi route and is aimed at providing a direct gateway to the customers from Lucknow and adjoining areas in north-east Uttar Pradesh.

Mr. Keki Patel, Cargo Manager – India & Nepal, Emirates SkyCargo said, “We are glad to have expanded our operations and launched our office in Lucknow, a city that has a growing importance for us from a business perspective. Lucknow and the entire state of Uttar Pradesh has been an important market for our business and we hope this direct access for cargo to Dubai and the world will further augment our business. This is a milestone development for us.”

Mr. Halim Modassir, Cargo Manager – North India, Emirates SkyCargo said, “There has been great demand for cargo capacity from Lucknow and other adjoining areas from Uttar Pradesh so customers were connecting to Delhi to use our cargo services. This new development will now provide them an efficient and more cost-effective option. This is our initiative to move closer to our customers in order to provide them with more efficient services.”

Emirates SkyCargo will link Lucknow to its network of 111 cities in 66 countries on six continents. The airline offers more than 3,000 tonnes per week of cargo capacity from 10 destinations in India. Emirates SkyCargo’s new office in Lucknow will be located at Ganpati House, 4 Way Road, Madan Mohan Malviya Marg, Lucknow – 226001.
