Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), the largest exporter and second largest car manufacturer in India, presented the All New Fluidic Verna to Virender Sehwag and Piyush Chawla, members of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 winning team who brought the World Cup back to the country after 28 long years.
To encourage Indian Team to win the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, HMIL had announced, if the World Cup comes home then the winning Indian team will be felicitated with the All New Hyundai Verna cars.
Arvind Saxena, Director- Sales and Marketing, HMIL handed over the New Verna keys to Virender Sehwag and Piyush Chawla who had played a significant role in making India world champions.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Saxena, Director- Sales and Marketing, HMIL, said, “It gives us immense pleasure to present the members of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 winning team with the All New Verna, that bears Hyundai’s new fluidic design philosophy and offers best-in-class design, quality and technology. The new Verna is already getting rave response from all our customers and has registered more than 21,000 bookings since its launch in May 2011.”
After the key handing over ceremony in Delhi, HMIL plans to organise similar felicitation ceremonies across India to give all New Verna to other players of Team India in their respective home states.
Hyundai is the official car partner for the International Cricket Council (ICC) from 2011- 2015, with exclusive category rights. Hyundai has organised several initiatives during the World Cup like the Hyundai Fan Parks, Hyundai ICC First and Last Ball Tour amongst others to create excitement during the entire duration of the 2011 Cricket World Cup.
