IFGL Bio Ceramics Ltd (IFGL) is pleased to introduce only indigenously manufactured CeraEye Hydroxyapatite Orbital Implant, for social upliftment of one eyed persons.  Natural eye is generally removed to relieve the patients from painful blind eye. This, however, has a devastating effect and major impact on self-image, self-confidence and self-esteem and also saddles the individual with job restrictions. One eyed persons are also otherwise denied Government grants as they are not considered blind.

CeraEye being an integrated Orbital Implant, extremely light weight with smooth finish, porous structure for vascularisation and fibro-vascular in-growth and many other advantages, hugely help one eyed persons to overcome aforesaid adverse effects and enable them to lead a normal social life.  This Implant becomes incorporated in orbital tissue thus minimises chances of displacement and extrusion apart from providing better motility and is also priced moderately. This Implant is already being used extensively at Disha Eye Hospitals & Research Centre, Eye Care & Research Centre, Sankara Nethralaya and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, to name a few hospitals.

IFGL has worked out arrangements with Disha Eye Hospitals & Research Centre and Eye Care & Research Centre at Kolkata, whereunder the said hospitals have agreed to offer one in all surgery package of Rs. 11,000/- only, which includes cost of enucleation  or evisceration surgery, hospital stay, CeraEye  Hydroxyapatite Orbital Implant, artificial eye and fitting thereof after one month of surgery and pegging of artificial eye  implant after about six months of first surgery. Similar arrangements with several other hospitals are in the offing and details thereof will be announced from time to time. It would be the constant endeavor of IFGL to disseminate benefits and advantages of CeraEye  to all concerned and in this connection, following objectives will also be pursued.
