Winner of Kronos India Challenge Received $15,000 (USD) for solving unique workforce management puzzle

Kronos® Incorporated, the global leader in workforce management solutions, today announced the winner of its Kronos India Challenge, a contest organized for talented and experienced engineers to solve a practical puzzle in the domain of workforce management solutions. Kronos orchestrated this first-of-a-kind contest in workforce management in an effort to identify and reward the best technical talent in India.

News Facts

• As the coveted winner of the contest, Mr. Subhasis Padhy of Bangalore was rewarded $15,000 USD. In addition, ICFAI Institute of Science and Technology, Hyderabad the college where Subhasis earned his Bachelor of Technology will also be rewarded $10,000 USD.

• As the war for skilled technical talent heats up in India, companies are adopting innovative strategies to establish their employment brand in India. Kronos is pioneering a new wave of recruiting strategies by challenging Indian talent to solve one of the most complex and compelling problems in the workforce management industry. The contest required deep domain and technology expertise to answer the challenge. Solution to the challenge centered around mobile concepts and it intended to challenge the intellect of technical talent in India.

• Submissions to the Kronos India Challenge were judged based on the creativity and innovativeness of the responses. Submissions were judged by an expert panel of distinguished Kronos engineers from the U.S. and India.

• The contest was held between mid-November and Dec. 31, 2010 and open to legal residents of the Republic of India who are of age 18 or older.
