Mr. Madhav J Joshi, President - Legal & Regulatory, Tata Teleservices has been unanimously elected as the new President of the Association of Unified Telecom Service Providers of India (AUSPI) following its Annual General Meeting held on September 24, 2009.
Mr. Joshi takes over from Mr. B.B. Anand, President, Reliance Communications who had steered the Association into a new era.
For AUSPI, the previous year has been the most challenging as well as rewarding period. During this period, our members launched GSM services as dual technology and the mobile sector has reached new heights with AUSPI member service providers adding more than 5 million subscribers in a month and the total number of subscribers about to cross 500 million mark this month.
