MSI Further Extends Retail Reach in India

Micro Star International (MSI) today announced that it is further enhancing its retail presence; the company has tied up with Staples for its newly launched F series of notebooks. Starting September end, the premier F Series range of MSI lap-tops will be retailed by Staples, the world’s largest office products company through its large format retail stores across 4 cities Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune & Noida. Staples is steadfast to making it easy for their customers to buy a wide range of products in technology, office supplies, tech & print services.

This year MSI has been focusing on increased customer contact. It maybe recalled that MSI had announced a tie-up with Croma, Reliance Digital and Big Bazaar earlier this year. It also undertook 6 cities MSI Yatra, a consumer education programme aimed at giving potential customers a hands-on experience of its wide range of lap-tops and Netbooks. With Staples, that is the undisputed leader in the area of organized office-supplies retail & with its widest assortment of technology products; MSI hopes to reach out to the high-profile customer base of Staples with its stylish and power-packed F-Series notebooks. Staples will be setting up special MSI displays across its stores in major metros.

Moreover customers will be able to browse and access detailed product literature, while trained personnel will on hand to explain product features and help customers derive an “MSI experience” before making their purchase decision. Says Tony Yang, MD of MSI India, “Staples stores are also frequented by high-income customers who are used to dealing with the best. It is an ideal outlet for the F-Series, which has been specially designed keeping in mind the high-style and features demand of this segment.”

Staples provides an ideal environment to the highly educated customers who frequent the stores to make informed choice – it give us the opportunity to really show up the feature rich offering of the F Series against other products available in this price range. We hope to further enhance the collaboration with Staples within next 6 months,” added Huang.

MSI has introduced, for the first time in India, the Wi-Di in the F-Series, this enable wire-less display from the lap top on to the television sets. The F Series incorporates four models - FX400, FX600, FX700, and FR600 which are equipped with power-sipping, high performance Intel Core i5 processor with Intel Turbo Boost and Intel Hyper-Threading technologies which adjust processor efficiency on the go, greatly enhancing overall system performance.

The MSI F-Series boasts extended battery life and better mobility. MSI’s exclusive ECO engine power saving technology gives the F-Series more than twice the per-charge battery time of conventional Notebooks. Furthermore, ECO engine power saving technology allows selection from among five power management levels—Gaming, Movie, Presentation, Office, and Turbo Battery, automatically adjusting display brightness, on/off switch, sleep mode, and processor performance settings, to maximize battery flexibility and per-charge use time.
