PolicyBazaar is India’s biggest online insurance aggregator with approximately 5 million visitors every month (making it one of India’s top 10 portals in terms of sheer traffic on the site). The pitch process included eight agencies and the size of the business is estimated to be Rs 22 crore.
The company’s aim is to make buying insurance easy. One can get free insurance quotes and also compare plans based on the premium and features offered. One can choose from the largest selection of insurance plans from leading insurance companies and select the most suited plan and purchase it online. PolicyBazaar offers a wide variety of insurance plans comprising of both life and general insurance. One has the advantage of comparing Pure Protection plans, Pension Plans, Child Plans, Investment Plans, Health Insurance or Mediclaim plans, Car insurance and Travel insurance as well as Home Insurance. Apart from this, Policybazaar.com also allows their customers to compare financial services including personal loans and home loans, and offer end-to-end support for these services right from application to disbursal of loans.
