SpiceJet is the most preferred airline in India

Based on the statistics released by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (January- September 2009), it is clear that SpiceJet flew more passengers per departure than any other domestic airline.

In the quarterly results announced recently, SpiceJet reported great operational results versus the same quarter last year. We carried twice the number of passengers. We also experienced a 19 point improvement in load factor and generated 31% more revenue.

Despite the global economic downturn, SpiceJet has shown growth in the recent months.  During the first seven months of the current year, SpiceJet’s passenger traffic grew 14% compared to a 5% decline in the overall Indian domestic traffic.
